BURNABY, BC, October 9, 2026: Cascade Aqua-Tech Ltd., a supplier of building envelope products across British Columbia and Alberta since 1987, is now carrying the RectorSeal Metacaulk line of firestopping products. Contractors, applicators and builders can order the lineup through any of the company’s six branches.
RectorSeal, a CSW Industrials company, is a recognized name in passive fire protection. Its Metacaulk products are designed to stop the spread of fire, smoke and toxic gases through joints and penetrations, and are tested and certified by independent agencies such as UL and FM.
The lineup now available from Cascade Aqua-Tech includes:
- Metacaulk 1000 Intumescent Firestop Sealant: a highly intumescent, water-based sealant and smoke seal for construction joints and through-penetrations, with systems rated 1 to 4 hours to ASTM E814 (UL 1479), UL 2079 and CAN/ULC-S115.
- Metacaulk MC 150+ Firestop Sealant: a water-based, non-sag, paintable firestop sealant for joints and penetrations, with systems rated up to 4 hours to ASTM E814 (UL 1479) and ASTM E1966 (UL 2079).
- Metacaulk 1200 Firestop Sealant: a single-component, general-use sealant that cures to an elastomeric seal for joints where dynamic movement is expected, available in caulk, self-leveling and mastic grades.
- Metacaulk Pipe Collars: prefabricated, highly intumescent collars for open and closed through-penetration systems on 1 1/2" to 6" plastic pipe, including PVC, CPVC, ABS and FRPP.
