Gutter Seal is a one-part, high quality blend of synthetic rubber and resin. It exhibits excellent elastomeric properties while maintaining superior adhesion under ponded water conditions.
Gutter Seal has been specifically designed for use in gutter and rainwater applications and is ideally suited for metal-to-metal and metal-to-plastic joinery. Commonly found in and around the eaves-trough.
Do not apply to damp or contaminated surfaces.
Do not subject to more than 20% movement or expansion.
1/12-gal (300 mL) cartridges, packed 30 per case.
Clear and White.
Cut nozzle to desired bead size.
The bead should not be thicker than 3/4” (18mm). Suggested maximum joint dimension: Rectangular = 3/4x3/8” (18x9mm),
Angular = 3/4x3/4” (18x18mm).
For good adhesion, the joint interface must be sound, clean and dry. The joint surface may require a thorough wire brushing, grinding, sandblasting and solvent washing.
Tooling & Cleaning
Tooling is minimal if sealant is applied with adequate pressure. Dry tooling is preferred. Cleaning can be accomplished with Xylol or Toluol while sealant is in uncured state.
Gutter Seal is easy to apply with conventional caulking equipment. At 75 ̊F (23.9 ̊C), 50% RH, a durable skin will form within 30 minutes.
Damaged sealant can be repaired. Consult your Tremco Distributor or Representative for repair procedures.
